This guide explains how to:
Configure GeoSpot Media’s GSM360 as a traffic source in Voluum
Apply the recommended tracking macros, and
Set up Server-to-Server (S2S) postbacks for install and post-install event tracking.
This article assumes familiarity with tracking concepts and is written for advertisers and media buyers focused on performance marketing.
Adding GSM360 as a Traffic Source in Voluum
Voluum provides a pre-built GSM360 traffic source template, which should always be used.
Steps:
Navigate to Traffic Sources.
Click Create → Traffic Source.
Select GeoSpot Media from the template list.
Click Next, review the prefilled settings, and Save.
The GSM360 traffic source shall now be available for selection while creating a campaign in Voluum.
Using GSM360 Tracking Macros/Tokens
By default, the standard macros/tokens are part of the traffic source setup as shown below:
However, if you wish to enable further granular reporting and optimization, you can apply additional GSM360 macros in the traffic source setup. You can access the list of tracking macros here - Guide to Using GSM360 Tracking Macros or Tokens.
Configure Install S2S Postback (Primary Conversion)
To attribute installs or base conversions back to GSM360, configure the traffic source-level postback.
Parameter Mapping
uc=REPLACE_WITH_ADV_ID
Replace with your GSM360 Advertiser ID (ADV ID)
clk_id={externalid}
Voluum’s click ID token used for attribution
event=install
Defines the base conversion event
payout={payout}
Optional revenue value passed from Voluum
Where to Add This
Open Traffic Sources → GSM360 in Voluum.
Paste the URL into the Traffic Source Postback URL field.
Save the traffic source.
Post-Install Events (Advanced S2S Postbacks)
GSM360 supports tracking post-install events (e.g., registration, purchase, subscription) using the same S2S framework.
Base Postback URL Structure (GSM360)
This structure is reused for all events. Only the event parameter changes. Duplicate the install postback URL and replace the event value with your custom event name/number as derived in the GSM360 post-install events settings.
- Example: Event 1 - Registration Event
https://action.pixels.center/event?uc=REPLACE_WITH_ADV_ID&clk_id={externalid}&event=event1&payout={payout}
- Example: Event 2 - Purchase Event
https://action.pixels.center/event?uc=REPLACE_WITH_ADV_ID&clk_id={externalid}&event=event2&payout={payout}
Implementation Notes
{externalid} macro must be consistently used across install and post-install events.
Event names should be predefined and standardized in GSM360.
The install event should fire before any post-install events.
You can track up to 10 distinct post-install events per campaign.
