Having an Inventory List is useful to ensure ads run only on designated supply sources by targeting or excluding App Bundle IDsand Placement IDs(for app) as well as URLs(for web).
Getting the Inventory
You can get these IDs from Reports or from the Running Apps section of the View Campaign dashboard.
Go to the Campaignstab in your account:
In the Campaigns list page, click the Campaign NameOR the three dots next to the Campaign ID which you want to optimize and select View.
You will be at the View Campaigndashboard. Scroll to the Running Apps segment. You can view the App Bundle ID, Placement ID, App Name and other information here.
App Bundle ID: Unique identifier for an app on all exchanges. Typically, iOS Bundle IDs have a numerical format (e.g. 1617391485) while Android Bundle IDs have an alphabetical format (e.g. com.example.myapp). To get this value, you may use the macro {APP_BUNDLE}.
Placement ID: Alphanumeric ID for an app which is specific to an exchange. Do note that there may be multiple Placement IDs for one app, even within one exchange. To get this value, you may use the macro {EXCHANGE_ID}-{APP_ID}. Example: 10038-accuweather.com.
Building the Inventory List
This guide shows you how to create an Inventory List. There are 2 ways - within the Inventory List tab of your account OR the the Targeting section of your campaign creation.
Through Inventory List Tab
Go to the Inventory Liststab of your account.
In the Inventory Listspage, click on the + Create New Inventory Listbutton.
Name the Inventory List and fill in the App Bundle IDs, Placement IDs or URLs, plus a short Description for your own reference. We recommend having separate lists for each type. Click the Create Inventory List button to save it.
Once created, the new list will appear in your Inventory List page, where you have a holistic view of the inventory size along with basic counts of the campaigns where the white / black lists are attached to.
The same Inventory List is also available in the dropdown list within the Targeting section of your campaign creation. You can then use it as a White or Black List.
Within Targeting Section
Go to the Targeting section of yourcampaign. Click the + Add New Inventory List button under White or Black List.
Name the Inventory List and fill in the App Bundle IDs, Placement IDs or URLs, plus a short Description for your own reference. We recommend having separate lists for each type. Click theCreate Inventory Listbutton to save it.
Once created, the new list will be available in the dropdown list within the Targeting section of your campaign creation. You can then use it as a White or Black List.
The same Inventory List will also be in your Inventory List page, where you have a holistic view of the Inventory List size along with basic counts of the campaigns where the white / black lists are attached to.
You can include multiple lists in your campaign setup and reuse Inventory List across multiple campaigns. If you want more control and do a manual blacklist of specific IDs for specific campaigns, refer to theManual Blacklist Creation guide.
Be careful if you are targeting or excluding both App Bundle ID list and Placement ID list in the same campaign. If they belong to the same App, the App Bundle ID will override the Placement ID.
Reach out to the Account Management team if you require curated lists based on certain criteria.
